HOC Loves // Doug Fogelson

Doug Fogelson uses photograms as opposed to cameras to create these x-ray like animal and plant imagery. This is done through a method where the artist places an object directly onto film and exposes it to coloured light. The final image is a shadow of the original form, which can appear either opaque or having a ghostly translucence depending on the transparency of the subject.
